Jyenny Babcock, Ed.D.

I’m on a mission to increase the doctoral degree graduation rate by empowering EdD/PhD students to create a fulfilling educational experience despite their many responsibilities, obligations, and ambitions.

Having served as a leader in higher education for 15 years, conducting research and supporting student learning, I felt my research background had prepared me well to enter a doctoral program. But, despite my research background and earning straight-A grades, I suffered from imposter syndrome and was constantly emotionally overwhelmed… until I discovered the power of coaching.

The tools I learned through self-coaching transformed my doctoral experience. Amidst a global pandemic and while recovering from foot surgery, I overcame a failed data collection attempt to graduate as planned to earn a Leadership EdD with a focus on health and wellness in 2020.

In 2021, I became a professional certified life coach to help other doctoral students achieve their own educational accomplishments by sharing the strategies and tools I used to overcome obstacles to graduation.

My dedication to guiding students to reach their goals has led me to author “Dissertate; How to Write Your Dissertation in 365 Days” and co-author “Inspired to Climb Higher: The Journey, Challenges, Questions, Struggles, and Joy of Earning Your Doctoral Degree.”
