BSF Coaching Scholarship Program

I believe that every EdD/PhD student can benefit from coaching to support their educational experience.

Although it is common for students to hire a dissertation coach near the end of their journey to provide technical assistance, it is not yet common for students to seek coaching for empowerment earlier in the journey.

The BSF Coaching Scholarship Program was created to introduce students to the possibility of life coaching to support their doctoral journey.

Benefits of coaching

The type of life coaching I provide is causal coaching. That means we focus on finding the cause of discomfort to eliminate it instead of treating symptoms. We can also find your source of empowerment to create the experiences you want in life.

Some of the outcomes students can experience from coaching are:

  • reduce overwhelm
  • release self-judgment that keeps you in self-doubt
  • rebuild school-life balance to bring peace of mind
  • increase productivity by putting an end to procrastination
  • stop the unnecessary emotional pain  of survival-mode thinking
  • rescue relationships to feel deeply supported on the doctoral journey
Jyenny, I wanted to let you know how helpful the four week coaching scholarship has been for me and to express my appreciation for the opportunity to work with you. The model you taught has enabled me to be intentional about the steps to take to achieve my goals. As you know, before coaching I was stuck on several items that were preventing me from finalizing my dissertation proposal. With the tools that you helped me develop, I have now submitted my completed proposal! I am so grateful to you for sharing your knowledge, and I am especially thankful for the scholarship opportunity. Best regards, Jennifer

Doctoral Aid Life Coaching

The Doctoral Aid Life Coaching package is a 4-week program that introduces doctoral students to a self-coaching practice they can use to quickly go from overwhelmed to productive. Many students make a shift in the first week!

Each week we cover basic coaching concepts that create awareness about where students are stuck and how they can move forward with less stress, self-doubt, and overwhelm. Students increase their confidence, motivation, and productivity within the program. In the last session, we complete a goal-setting process to ensure the student has a viable plan to reach their goals.

  • Week 1: Introduction to life coaching
  • Week 2: Self-coaching basics using The Model
  • Week 3: Identifying beliefs and processing emotions
  • Week 4: The process to attain any goal

This package is available for $497 without the scholarship if you want to guarantee your spot in the next cohort. A new cohort begins the first week of every month (excluding June and December). Contact me at jb [at] or on Facebook to enroll. Enrollment is open to doctoral students at any stage of the doctoral process.

"When I applied I didn't think it was real. On the first session I'd already learnt so much and felt a lot better about myself. I managed to do in a week what I'd failed to do in a while. Thank you so much"
